Effect of water soluble inorganic matter on immersion heat of coal

Autor: B. Taraba

Two samples of subbituminous and bituminous coals were investigated with respect to assess the influence of water-soluble inorganic matter on the values of immersion heat,

Him, of these coals in water.

Dissolution heat of the minerals was found to may cause change in values of Him as much as 1.2 J/g, both decrease and increase in Him being observed depending on the mineral species present in coal.
