The Consequences of Work-related Accidents as a Factor Motivating Staff to Safe Behaviors This paper presents the results of empirical research among victims of serious accidents at work and
among families of fatal mining accidents’ victims. The primary purpose of this paper is to indicate the
necessity to intensify expertise on the consequences of work-related accidents and develop awareness in this
area. Heightened awareness of tragic accidents’ effects should motivate employees to safe work habits.
