Reconstruction of Mine Accidents in a Virtual Environment

Authors: T. Winkler, D. Michalak, Ł. Jaszczyk, S. Bojara

Use of computer models and their visualization for creation of virtual mining work environment is
presented in the paper. Virtual environment consists of models of material objects and models of anthropometric
features. Relationships connecting men and work means are analyzed in it. In this environment,
normal and emergency work conditions of complex anthropotechnical systems are simulated. By visualization
of results of dangerous behaviour there is a possibility for preventive infl uence on the mine staff.
Reconstruction of accidents, which happened in the past makes a basis for prediction of similar dangerous
phenomena during designing of mining systems.
