Method of optimum operating variables determinating of technological system of coal preparation processes

The main task of supervisory and local control system is to obtain a maximum quantity of commercial products with demanded qualitative parameters. It is important to select of technological system configuration in a suitable way. This depends of raw coal characteristics and productive requirements. Because of set point changes in process control, there is necessary to repeat optimization of processes. In the case of a control method, which ensure obtaining maximum value of control objective function, for example a maximum production value with desired quality. Values of operating variables should be selected to obtain optimum control process results. In the process optimization there are used variables having significant influence on control objective function value. Therefore it is important to have knowledge about controllable variables and objective function dependency. This knowledge be gained by the application of sensitivity analysis. A connection between the sensitivity analysis and calculation algorithm of extremum objective function value makes possible determination of optimum operating variables of coal preparation technological systems. A determination methodology of optimum operating variables of coal preparation technological systems is based on: preliminary sensitivity analysis, optimization calculation and repeated sensitivity analysis in the surround of the optimum set point. In this paper (the last from the cycle of three) on example of complex technological system the methodology of optimum operating variables determination of technological system of coal preparation process has been described in detail. Analysis was carried out for four different market contracts. In each case there have been made assumptions to qualitative-quantitative constraints of commercial products. Elaborated method of operating variables optimum structure determination of technological system of coal preparation plant can be used in many different tasks of dispatching supervisory control. It can be implemented among other to: any configuration of main processing operations in technological systems, different ash-density characteristics of raw coal, flexibility formulation for control objective function. This method can be applied to any setting ranges of acceptable values of operating variables (separation parameters of preparation operations).
