Selection of combined cutter-loader parameters for unidirectional and bidirectional longwall mining systems and the investment costs involvet in mining operations

In consideration of the required daily output in the longwall mining operations, the methodology of selection of operating parameters of combined cutter-loaders is outlined.

The unidirectional and bi-directional cutting operations are investigated.

Theoretical considerations are supplemented with an example: calculations of investment costs of longwall operations where a daily production rate V sub d 7 000 Mg.
