Computer modelling and visualization of hazards in the underground system of coal mining

Author: T. Winkler

The following hazards occur in the anthropotechnical systems used in the mining industry: naturai hazards caused by the natural factors like: bumps, spontaneous fire, technical hazards caused by an improper action of technical means on men, personal hazards, which appear in the form of not controlled effects of an action of muscular and gravity forces.

Methods of computer modelIing of hazards for the following case were given: in the area of high concentration of machines and people, for the equipment of uncertain geometric form, for emergency conditions.

In the conclusions it was stated that it is not possible to eliminate fully the risk factors and that emergency conditions can be caused by men behavior.
