Evaluating the stress generated during rock and gas outbursts

This study is a part of a larger work on simulation of rock and gas outbursts in laboratory conditions.

The method of evaluating the stress distribution during an outburst in a porous rock sample confined inside the measurement chamber was presented.

The effects of pore pressure, free gas pressure acting on the rock boundaries and the reaction forces developed by the chamber walls are taken into account
