Computer simulation of complex control systems in coal preparation plants

In the paper a computer simulation program for coal preparation processes analysis and their control has been presented.

The software program allows for simulation of technological systems operation which contain unit processes of coal screening, washing in heavy media circuits, jigs and cyclones, blending of different products and stream splitting.

The package incorporates control optimization procedures for a proper choice of technological parameters (i.e. densities of separation, screens diameters, proportion of product streams).

The program allows to evaluate effects of complex control systems operation and to analyse various algorithms of the control.
